A: Try this link: or this one: The Hot Chicks of Ringling Circus In 1966, James Bowman decided to leave his job in the oil industry to take on the storied, and some would say, quirky, job of managing the circus. One thing he had never been in the circus was the actual business of a circus. That changed in December of 1969 when he moved to New York City, for a “more exciting life”. He was informed that on January 21, 1970, he would be the manager of the circus. Bowman was given the job, but would be advised that it was the first step on the road to becoming an actual circus man. On January 21, he was told he would be putting on the circus for one night, but there were, of course, many more “build-ups” to come. Bowman arrived at the circus on the day before showtime and was amazed by the sights that greeted him. The circus was in rehearsal for two weeks in front of a live audience. He arrived on the day that rehearsals began, and sat in on the first few. It was at that time that he saw a man named Bob Clampitt, who was running the lights. At the time, Clampitt was fairly new, and Bowman liked him, but, most importantly, Clampitt was a circus man. Bowman immediately was drawn to him, and would later ask if he could be the guy that ran the lights. In the spring of 1970, he was offered the job of running the lights.
